I can't believe summer's over already; it's been a much pleasanter one than the last few years, other than some severe weather at the beginning. I didn't even regret the lack of air conditioning.

Had a wonderful Easter this year. • An intense, intimate spy thriller
• Backstory, OMG
• Plot that develops directly from the backstory, but with a strong sense of forward motion
• Stakes that are personal and political, with the fuzziest of lines between them
